yesterday night on tv – maybe the best john travolta ever

today, after a dark cold and rainy day, sun is back again
hope that in the middle italy weather will be nice too (I live in the upper north)
today is no-B-day and would like that people could freely protest in the sun
I feel always so sad when I see a popular demonstration under a hard rain

many famous intellectuals (pasolini, to tell one of the greatest) expressed in years their scepticism about public street demonstration
but for the first time after years I really would like to be there with people protesting

maybe some of you can’t understand why lately I am so  sensible to dark reflections /
italy is crossing a bad moment and many people are without work (lost mine too)
immigrants are not respected as it should be, and public state is gradually disappearing

for this and for more – hope this government will be over as soon as possible
(the video is in italian but images talk alone and this song of rino gaetano always glosses my eyes)

VIDEOCRAZIA TOTALE – un articolo di marco belpoliti su nazione indiana

these are very grey days / sun seems not to come out anymore
so – the picture is taken in this same day but one year ago
old tom waits song at the radio just now, like in a very far christmas

control / another all b&w recent movie – by anton corbijn on the life of jan curtis

yesterday evening enjoied rumble fish dvd (just few minutes before coppola interview on italian television)
great movie, very intense and a special cast – … how great mickey rourke was and is – have you seen the wrestler?
well, rumble fish* made me start thinking about some good black and white movies made after the black and white era
*(even if it is apparently b&w:  can use the expression daltonic movie?)
here are a few some

1 . the elephant man – david lynch 1980
2 . rumble fish – francis ford coppola 1983
3 . down by law – jim jarmush 1986
4 . la haine – mathieu kassovitz 1995
5 . les amantes réguliers – philippe garrel 2005

have a lot of old magazines in my cellar /
I was thinking to throw them since long, but always stalling
love paper and imagine there could be a second and third and fourth use of each single scrap
few days ago I have been invited to an artist exchange so decided to use some of those magazines to produce a stolen-zine (made with others images and words combined by me)
hope I will do it in time / if not, forgive me, delay will be for a right cause :)

1 - today breakfast
2 - supermarket
3 - stolen-zine

camilla:
thank you for kind greetings and compliments, always welcome :)

in the page of thebigpicture dedicated to the berlin wall I found this image
it catches two different ages living the same moment /
the upper part of the photo looks like a very old age, ready to be over, and also its tones express this jump in time, as in a sepia print / while in the lower half, people and colors express modernity, and the future to come at the moment of the wall breaking
it is like two different pictures in a photomontage

did not think it could be such an emotion
but to see them together again playing this song in a tv show after 20 years touched me very much

.

I looked for a neutral video about the wall that wasn’t totally west made, but still couldn’t find it
my answer of today is: was the world ready for the end of communism?
